What needs to be done? I’m not sure I have the answer completely but a guess is an overhaul in the people; more than the system. To often people flock to this country expecting not to become a part of the greatest nation in the world but only to survive/escape tyranny. To some degree this is a cowardly action. To clarify, I know that it is easier to flee tyranny than face it. I also cannot say for sure what my response would be to a tyrannical government. Our borders have now been infiltrated with this attitude of laziness concerning the health of our nation. Mind you, I am not blaming immigrants solely for this attitude; they are just one of the many causes of it. Also, realize that I am not speaking of all immigrants. I feel that once we allow the government to go so far, many will simply flee its tyranny. Hard work now could save it of course but most are only trying to survive. When that is put in jeopardy, they/we will run. Obviously, no group better understands freedom than the ones who have been set free by Christ. No government has the ability to take that freedom from us. Just as this nation was built on the idea that man has inalienable rights; on it so to will the nation survive. Survival is not guaranteed but on that thought alone. Hopefully, Godly men will rise to the occasion by first leading their families in understanding freedom, then their neighbor, etc. And soon this could be a different America, like the one we used to read of in school books. My fear is that many people aren’t American enough to do what needs to be done to protect our freedoms. What needs to be done? I’m not sure I have the answer completely but a guess is an overhaul in the people; more than the system. To often people flock to this country expecting not to become a part of the greatest nation in the world but only to survive/escape tyranny. To some degree this is a cowardly action. To clarify, I know that it is easier to flee tyranny than face it. I also cannot say for sure what my response would be to a tyrannical government. Our borders have now been infiltrated with this attitude of laziness concerning the health of our nation. Mind you, I am not blaming immigrants solely for this attitude; they are just one of the many causes of it. Also, realize that I am not speaking of all immigrants. I feel that once we allow the government to go so far, many will simply flee its tyranny. Hard work now could save it of course but most are only trying to survive. When that is put in jeopardy, they/we will run. Obviously, no group better understands freedom than the ones who have been set free by Christ. No government has the ability to take that freedom from us. Just as this nation was built on the idea that man has inalienable rights; on it so to will the nation survive. Survival is not guaranteed but on that thought alone.
